Peacock feathers | San Diego Photographer

I had been looking and trying to think of a logo that would represent me for a few months. I either wanted something completely simple and clean, or big, flourishy, and feminine.

Yes, that makes sense.:)  I love lace, victorian dresses, details, and femininity. And, as I came  to find out, feathers.

So the search went on. I was talking to my sister one day about logos;

‘I don’t think I’ll have one [ a logo], I’ll just keep it simple with my text. There’s nothing that I’m in love with – but I think peacocks are really pretty!’

‘No, you need to have a logo. I’ll look’.

So, she started looking up peacock logos and sending me ideas. I found one that I liked a lot; bright colors, interesting design, and clean lines. But I wasn’t in love with it. Though I did buy it and use it for a few months, I kept looking.

And then

I found it.

It was a drawing (markers, acrylic, and paint) from an artist in Canada on an artist website I go to for inspiration and ideas. I contacted Tiffany and told her I would love to use her peacock for my logo,  if she would let me.

Luckily she did! And now here I am with this gorgeous bird I can completely build my work around. It defines exactly what I love; soft flowy movements, big and girly flourishes, and bold beautiful colors.

 I am in love with it, it’s perfect. No computer can ever match what an artist can create with her own hands.

Thank you so much Tiffany!!

If you would like to contact Tiffany or know the website I use for research, feel free to send me a note and I’d be happy to let you know!

Happy Thursday!
