MIA – Courtney’s Sprinkle Shower | San Diego Photographer

I realize I have been missing quite a bit from blogging. I have so many posts up my sleeve that I want to share with you. But, since we got engaged a couple months ago I dove in and started researching wedding venues, DJ’s, videographers, props, centerpieces, everything I could think of to make our wedding day unique and personal.

I’m not obsessed…

no, am not

moving on…

One of the first people I contacted to share the big news was our future wedding photographer. I was so excited!! I was free to plan and the one thing I knew for sure, was that I wanted beautiful images and Ashleigh Jayne is the go-to girl for just that! I do love to plan, especially when it comes to photoshoots. If the shoot location is within a short distance, I will usually stop by to scope out some great spots before our shoot. Same goes for a wedding that’s over a year away, I guess:)

As far as the details go, I want it to be a surprise, so I’m going to keep a lot of it a secret until the day:)But, I do know we are going with a vintage garden theme, and we are won’t be doing a first look. I don’t know how I’m going to deal with the suspense!! I can’t wait to see my future husband as I walk down the aisle! :)  Ok, back to the goods….I can say  where a ton of great information and talented people can be found. I have found a TON of inspiration from the following sites.

If you are a bride, i’m sure you are already aware of most of these if you are anything like me. I know you’ll love to look at these sites again, anyhow!

But, if not! Then get comfy, because you’re going to be glued to your screen for the next few hours/days/weeks!!!

1.  Style Me Pretty -  Amazing photos to make into your own style boards. A gazillion different preferred venders in your area for anything and everything you could think of and even posts on DIY pieces for your day. They post real weddings with all the venders listed for each, and even some styled shoots to give you an idea of what is possible.

2. Green Wedding Shoes -  A beautiful wedding blog full of real southern California wedding inspiration. Go check out our photographers’ post on one of her amazing Day After Sessions. If you ever feel you don’t have enough time on your wedding day to get all of the images you crave, schedule a day after session! Stress free and you get to wear your dress again!! I’ve found a ton of ideas from their vintage wedding section. So beautiful. Step by step DIY posts as well. I’m kind of in love with THIS styled session.

3 . Herecometheguide.com – This is actually how I found the venue I thought was ‘the one’.  After we decided that wasn’t the omg-most-amazing-place-ever, I went back to the drawing board and kept looking and found our perfect spot. I think they may just have every venue, ever, listed on their site.

4 . A P ractical Wedding.com -  A friend recently turned me on to this site and it is awesome for everyday brides dealing with all the demands, emotions, and people that go into a wedding and how to keep a balance. And, even the perfect wedding will have its hiccups, here’s how to work through it. I think this is my new guilty pleasure. I don’t need sleep, right?

and last but not leaset

5. Ruffledblog.com – I have no words. Just click HERE. Um… Can I live there? How beautiful is that styled session? This is another great blog resource started by a bride planning her own wedding back in ’07.

I’m a vintage style girl, so this blog is geared more towards a bride with that kind of a style.  I think you could stick me back in the ’20′s and I’d be happy…well, at least as far as fashion goes:)I think the vintage touch really gives the modern bride a chance to have an old fashioned type of wedding where guests can just relax and dance! There will be dancing!

ok, any here’s a little something because I know every post needs a little eye candy!!

Little Tyson just joined the world June 9th, and is the new little brother of Miss Chloe. I hope to meet him soon!!

Happy Thursday!
