I grew up in two places, Temecula and Dana Point. But, I lived the longest in Dana Point and call it ‘where-i-grew-up’ location. We moved there when I was 5 and stayed until just after 12 years old. It was a little different back then.
They are somewhat right when they say ‘you can’t go home again’ but I still love to go back. Back to visit the old places we used to hang out, the Dana Point house, and Salt Creek – somewhere I was almost everyday during summer with Julia.
She didn’t really have a choice in the matter, I was too little to stay home by myself, so we would spend the ENTIRE day at the beach.
Yes, we were very tan.
Yes, I am now very pale, and love it![]()
The Dana Point house, where so much of my childhood lives.
My first dog; Lady. A miniature Pomeranian – who we rescued from the pound with a broken leg which would later need to be removed completely. She was my first love, and I still miss her![]()
Where I rode my bike around our cul de sac every day, after my grandparents taught me how to ride. I loved my bike, it was the best thing ever.![]()
Where every house was different, but ours was the best
and COVERED in plants and flowers after my mom got her hands on it (as usual).
As much as I miss the feel of those times, I so love living in San Diego. It’s the only place I pictured myself eventually living, getting married, and raising a family.
Speaking of getting married, here is part 2 of Chris and Lauren’s Engagement. These images took place in Orange County, of course![]()

Lauren emailed me with an idea she saw, she wanted to try with some confetti![]()
On the day of the shoot, she texted to say she forgot the confetti – so I ran over to Trader Joe’s and grabbed some colorful small flowers to act as confetti.
She wanted to blow some confetti in Chris’ face!! haha
Here’s a kiss before, for being a good sport![]()

My View
I have to admit, it’s not something I would have thought of! But it was a lot of fun, and I love the images of Lauren with the petals.

Love this one. I just love it.
